14" Antique Cobalt Blue ROYAL VIENNA
ART POTTERY

This Edwardian style vase was designed
by A. G. Harley Jones, Fenton, Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire England.
It is stamped on bottom with the
Harley Jones
England makers mark and "
Made in England"
. The number
1099
is embossed on the bottom
.
The main body of this vase features a striking cobalt blue with a countryside scene depicting young women tending to their sheep.  The scene is framed in gold and is surrounded by lovely gold embellishments.
The scene depicts two young women surrounded by sheep. One young woman poses holding a baby lamb.
In very good condition. It has minor crazing and worn gold consistent with being an authentic antique. There is a tiny flea size white spot on the back of the vase under the glaze (it isn't damaged-just a small blemish). The photo of the inside bottom makes it look dirty-I didn't attempt to clean it, but I don't think it's dirty. Possibly from the type of material and the way it was fired-not sure.
